what is photography ?


  Photography comes from two ancient Greek words: photo for "light", and the chart to "draw." "Drawing with light" is a way of describing photography. When a photograph is made, light or some other form of radiant energy, such as X rays, is used to record the image of an object or scene on a light-sensitive surface. Photo was originally called the images of the sun (sun pictures), because sunlight itself was used to create the image. Mankind has been making pictures since at least the cave paintings some 20,000 years ago. With the invention - invention / innovation in photography, the image can be captured in just a matter of seconds.

Today, photography has become a very powerful means of communication and as a mode of visual expression that touches human life in many ways. For example, photography has become popular as a reminder of memories. Most of the billions of photos taken today is a snapshot to document personal events such as holidays, birthdays, and weddings.

The photos are now much has widely used by newspapers, magazines, books, and television to communicate information and advertise products and services. Practical applications of photography are found in almost every human endeavor from astronomy to medical diagnosis for industrial quality control. Photography extending human vision into the world of objects that are not visible because it is too small or too far away, or events that occur too quickly to be seen by the naked eye to detect. A camera can be used in locations that are too dangerous for humans. The photos can also be a piece of art that explore the human condition and provide aesthetic pleasure. For millions of people, photography is a satisfying hobby or career.
